Birthdays were more exciting. Jennelle L. White shares themes that will take the reader back in time and will stimulate the imagination of children. Most of the themes are simple everyday things. I enjoyed Growing Up Poetry, the illustrations are beautifully done, the colors are bright and appear to have been done in crayon. Some of the poems need to be reworked. The meter is off.
